2. Collection of Personal Information

Personal Information that refers to information that can identify you or your identity can be reasonable obtained.

The only personal information that we collect is that which you elect to provide.

We do not collect sensitive information such as your race, religion, beliefs or sexual preference except where you have consented or where we are permitted or required by law to do so.

You may at any time, by contacting us request access to your personal information and we may provide you with access to that information.  However, there are limited circumstances in which access to an individual’s personal information will not be allowed.  If access to information is denied, we will provide reasons for the denial.  All requests for access will usually be acknowledged within 14 days.

We may use IP addresses to analyse trends, administer the site, track user movements and to gather broad demographic information for aggregate use. IP addresses are not linked to personal identifiable information.

In the event that we are to use the personal information in a manner different from that stated at the time of collection then the users will be notified by way of e-mail. The users will have the option to decline the use of the information in the different manner.

  

11. Complaints and Further Information

We have in place facilities to properly consider and deal with any inquiries or complaints if you believe the privacy of your personal information has been compromised.  We will endeavor to respond to all complaints within two days and aim to have them resolved within seven days where possible.  Where this is not possible, you will be contacted and advised when it is likely that your complaint will be resolved.

 

It is our intention to use our best endeavors to resolve any complaint to your satisfaction. However, if you are unhappy with our response, you are entitled to contact the Office of the Privacy Commissioner who may investigate your complaint further.
