Why we perform routine inspections
An important function as property managers is to carry out routine inspections on behalf of the property owner. The main purpose is to identify any maintenance or repairs that may be required and to ensure that the property is looked after being kept in a clean and tidy manner.
Covid-19 Ensuring your safety
Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, the way these inspections will be performed has changed. We will be implementing Virtual Inspections to ensure that we are able to conduct our operations with minimal impact on both staff and tenants. These precautionary measures will ensure the health and safety of our staff and tenants throughout this period.
An important function as property managers is to carry out routine inspections on behalf of the property owner. The main purpose is to identify any maintenance or repairs that may be required and to ensure that the property is looked after being kept in a clean and tidy manner.
How it works
The Virtual Inspection is simple to do, should take no more than 15 minutes to complete and can be done at a time that is convenient to you.
We use an online application called Inspection Manager which has been designed specifically to enable a Tenant to perform the inspection without the presence of the property manager. The app allows the Tenant to take photos and write comments directly to the report using their smart phone or table.
What do you need
All you need is an Apple or Android smart mobile phone or tablet with the latest operating software.
Internet connection. Minimum ADSL2+ or 4G
Please do not use Chrome browser on an Apple device. You can copy the link and past it into the Safari browser
What is the process
Step 1: You will receive an email from our office notifying you of an upcoming routine inspection. The email will outline what you will be required to do and suggested time to for a video call with your property manager.
Step 2: you will receive an email link from ‘Inspection Manager’, which will allow you to perform a property inspection via your phone or tablet. You will be able to take photos and raise any maintenance items that require attention. This should take between 5-15 minutes of your time, depending on the size of your home. You can do this at anytime however it will need to be completed 48 hours prior to the video call with your property manager.
Step 3: you will then be required to take part in a VIDEO CALL with your property manager. They will discuss the property inspection report that you completed using Inspection Manager and also have a quick ‘walk through’ the property with you. This should take no more than 5 to 10 minutes to complete.
That’s it, all done without the property manager having to attend your home.
